Buying & Licensing

Buying, activating, and moving your Aura license

Everything about owning Aura directly: how your license key operates, activating your seat, moving your license to a new Mac, and our 3-device personal license policy.

No Subscriptions. Own it Forever.

Aura is a single $24.99 one-time payment. There are no monthly subscriptions, token fees, or paid tiers. Every future engine update and model enhancement is included.

Try It Free for 14 Days

Aura begins a 14-day free trial automatically upon initial launch. Every rewrite mode (Proofread, Clarity, Formal, Friendly, Concise, Expand, Bullets and Custom), Ask Aura, Voice and every local engine are fully unlocked. No credit card or account creation is required.

Activating Your License Key

  1. Purchase Aura directly from store.hanncrest.com.
  2. Your confirmation receipt containing your unique license key arrives immediately in your inbox.
  3. Open Aura, click the menu bar icon, open Settings / Control Panel, and select the License tab.
  4. Paste your license key and click Activate. Aura confirms the key and unlocks permanently.
Offline Tolerance: Aura confirms your license with Lemon Squeezy when you activate it, then quietly once a day while it runs. Offline, it keeps working for up to 30 days after the last successful check, so travel never interrupts your writing.

Why the 3-Device Limit Works in Your Favor

A single Aura license key permits activation on up to three personal Macs simultaneously (e.g., your MacBook Air, work laptop, and desktop Mac). Upgrading or selling a computer? Choose "Deactivate on this Mac…" under Settings ▸ License, and the activation slot is returned immediately.

Can I transfer my license to a new Mac?

Yes. Just click "Deactivate on this Mac" in Settings ▸ License on your old Mac. If that computer is no longer accessible, you can revoke any individual activation from Lemon Squeezy's customer portal linked in your original receipt email.

Does Aura require internet to rewrite text?

No. After the initial one-time model weight download, all writing is processed locally on your Mac with Core ML or Apple Intelligence.

What happens after the 14-day trial?

Aura keeps working as a free version: checking as you type, spelling and grammar fixes and short proofreads stay free, with 3 Pro uses a day for rewrites, long proofreads, presets and Ask Aura. Enter a license key at any time to unlock everything. Your presets, voice profile and downloaded models stay saved.
